Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT/FMCSA regulations, EPA guidelines, and shop safety practices.
• Understanding of PM schedules, fleet lifecycle management, and maintenance compliance.
• Understanding of adult learning principles for diverse students.
• Demonstrate and teach repair, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures in a lab.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across Class 1–8.
• Strong classroom management for boot-camp style training.
• Use LMS and diagnostic software to support instruction.
• Connect classroom instruction to real-world fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast-paced, hands-on instruction for adult learners in a lab setting.
• Lead the skilled trades lab and enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards during high-voltage exercises.
• Relate training to EGSA certifications and industry expectations.
• Provide timely feedback and assess student learning through practical and written methods.
