Job summary

The Diesel Instructional Assistant at Northcentral Technical College supports Diesel Technology faculty by preparing and maintaining instructional laboratories, equipment, tools, vehicles, and materials. Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in the diesel equipment repair industry.
• Strong math calculations related to diesel repairs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratories, vehicles, tools, equipment, parts, and instructional materials for learning activities.
• Assist faculty during classroom, laboratory, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Reinforce Diesel-Math concepts and demonstrate lab procedures as directed by faculty.
• Provide individual or small-group assistance to students practicing assigned skills.
• Promote safe work practices and address or report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Help students properly use, clean, organize, and return tools and equipment.
• Maintain an orderly, professional, and industry-relevant learning environment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and communicate maintenance, repair, and inventory needs.
