Job summary

Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Part-time Fleet Services Facility Lot/Building Technician to work 25 hours per week. The role will perform light building maintenance on the fleet lot and building, keep vehicles clean and the lot organized, and prep out-of-service vehicles for auction.

You will also help transport vehicles to vendors, pick up parts from local shops, and handle other duties as assigned. Some after-hours work may be required based on assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with no moving violations.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform light building maintenance on lot and fleet building.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and orderliness of the lot.
• Prepare out-of-service vehicles for auction.
• Transport vehicles to outside vendors for repairs.
• Pick up parts from local stores and perform other duties as directed.
