Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Part-time Fleet Services Facility Lot/Building Technician to work 25 hours per week. The role will perform light building maintenance on the fleet lot and building, keep vehicles clean and the lot organized, and prep out-of-service vehicles for auction.
You will also help transport vehicles to vendors, pick up parts from local shops, and handle other duties as assigned. Some after-hours work may be required based on assignments.
The Part-time Fleet Services Facility Lot/Building Technician will work 25 hours per week and duties will include but are not limited to; performing light building maintenance duties on the lot and in the fleet building, maintaining the appearance of vehicles, and ensure the orderliness of the vehicle lot, preparing out of service vehicles for auction, assisting in transporting vehicles to outside vendors for repairs, picking up parts from various parts stores in the local area and perform other duties as directed or as the situation dictates. Work hours may occasionally be required before or after normal business hours based on work assignment.
Complete assignment as directed; maintain work areas. knowledge of general orders; report identified or potential safety, maintenance, or non-compliance issues; maintain files on work order requests; assist in determining maintenance priorities; perform minor repairs; move/transport furniture/equipment; replace damaged furniture; replace light bulbs/fixtures; complete work orders/maintenance requests; respond to maintenance requests; inspect completed work; notify supervisor of unsafe conditions; requisition maintenance supplies; plan painting jobs; and performs painting jobs.
