Job summary

YMCA of the Lowcountry is seeking a motivated Fitness Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming wellness area while supporting daily operations. The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and promoting a healthy lifestyle for members.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, with an expectation of up to 30 hours per week, reporting to the Wellness Director. Benefits include complimentary YMCA membership for part-time staff and various member discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a fitness-related role required.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of gym equipment and wellness areas.
• Monitor fitness floor activity to ensure safety guidelines and facility policies are followed.
