Job summary

Hualapai Nsn is seeking a part-time Firefighter/Paramedic to respond to fire, rescue, hazmat, and medical emergencies. Under general supervision, you will provide BLS/ALS care and be the highest medical authority on scene, making decisions per protocols and medical direction.

Essential duties include vehicle/equipment inspections, fire suppression, pre-planning, and EMS operations. A valid EMT-Paramedic license and firefighter certifications are required or must be obtained prior to hire.

Qualifications

Must hold AZ or National Registry EMT-Paramedic and obtain AZDHS EMT certification prior to hire date.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment at required intervals and after all incident responses.
Provides emergency medical services and fire suppression services.
Performs fireground activities and duties as assigned.
Participates in fire prevention inspections and pre-planning.
Operates necessary equipment for EMS and fire suppression work.
Reads and understands the DOT ERG and NFPA HM Handbook.
Participates in cleaning and maintenance of quarters, equipment, and apparatus.
Performs medical assessment and procedures per current certification level and medical direction.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
