Job summary

Haxtun Health Ambulance in Colorado is seeking a Paramedic for PRN, on-call coverage. You will respond to emergency calls and inter-facility transfers, providing immediate, high-quality care under Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols and state guidelines.

The position offers flexible, as-needed work with on-call pay and per-trip commissions, with weekend coverage as described. A Colorado-paramedic certification and current BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Colorado EMS Paramedic certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Ability to obtain ICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, high-quality care to critically ill or injured patients.
• Respond to emergency calls and inter-facility transfers.
• Follow Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment guidelines.
• Work on a PRN basis with on-call responsibilities and eligible for on-call pay plus per-trip commissions.

ParamedicIf you're looking for flexible, PRN-only work and a meaningful way to support patients in your community, Haxtun Health Ambulance might be the perfect fit. Unlike a typical 9-to-5 position, this role does not have regularly scheduled shifts. Instead, our dedicated responders provide coverage on an as-needed basis.Application Deadline: Applications are accepted on a regular basis.Here's how it works:Weekday coverage is handled by the first available responders who can answer the call.Weekend coverage is provided by two on-call responders from Saturday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. During this time, you'll receive on-call hourly pay.In addition to on-call pay, you'll also earn commission based on a per-trip basis for every call you take.As a Paramedic, you'll be responsible for providing immediate, high-quality care to critically ill and injured patients.
