Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old by date of application.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid Kentucky driver’s license.
• IFSTA Firefighter I and II preferred but not required.
• EMT-B or EMT-A or Paramedic certification as established by KBEMS.
• NIMS IS-100/200/700/800 certifications.
• OSHA 1910:120/NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification.
• Internal physical agility course and internal written exam with passing score of 75%.

Responsibilities

• Emergency response duties including fire suppression and medical calls.

• Assist with building inspections and fire prevention activities.
