Job summary

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Michigan Driver's License required.
• MFFTC Fire Fighter II Certification required.
• Michigan Medical First Responder (MFR) or higher.
• CPR and AED certifications required.
• MFFTC Driver's Training and HAZMAT Awareness/Operations certifications.
• CPAT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and operate equipment to control and extinguish fires.
• Rescue and revive people at fire scenes.
• Test hydrants and ensure water availability at scenes.
• Inspect premises for hazards and enforce fire codes.
• Maintain and repair department equipment and vehicles.
• Assist in training and public relations activities.
• Conduct station tours and safety programs for groups.
• Prepare and present pre-fire plans and reports.
• Perform mandatory physical fitness activities daily.
• Follow policies and procedures and report changes.
