Job summary

City of Paducah is seeking firefighters to perform fire suppression, life support medical care, and inspections under general supervision. The role includes responding to emergencies, performing rescue operations, and participating in fire prevention activities.

Applicants must have CPAT certification through Feb 2027, IFSAC Firefighter I & II, and Kentucky EMT certification, plus a valid driver's license. Training and advancement opportunities are available within the department.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• IFSAC Firefighter I & II Certification and Kentucky EMT Certification required.
• CPAT certification valid through February 2027 and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire suppression, life support medical care, and inspections.
• Respond to fire calls and conduct rescue operations.
• Inspections and fire prevention activities as assigned.
• Prepare and submit records, run reports, and other required documentation.
