Job summary

The Gibsonville Fire Department seeks at least one part-time firefighter to cover 24‑hour shifts in Gibsonville, NC. Applicants must be 19+, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid NC driver’s license, Firefighter I & II and EMT certifications. The role includes firefighting, EMS care, and vehicle operation, with an NFPA physical provided by the town.

Hourly pay starts at $22.56. Part-time firefighters are eligible for a part-time fire engineer position after 6 months of satisfactory

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years or older and a high school graduate or GED.
• Valid NC driver license and Firefighter I & II with EMT certification.
• NFPA physical required to start; training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires and emergencies and provide life support as needed.
• Operate firefighting equipment and drive fire apparatus.
• Inspect and maintain gear and equipment; perform pre-incident planning.
• Deliver school programs and participate in community education.
