General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking part-time Recurrent Training Instructors to train Federal Flight Deck Officers in weapons and self-defense across classrooms, simulators, and ranges.

You must be current or former law enforcement, with at least 5 years' instructional experience in firearms, defensive tactics, and use of force, and be able to communicate training concepts to diverse audiences. The position uses TSA/FAMS curricula and MS Office proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• RTIs must have successfully completed a recognized federal firearms instructor training program.
• RTIs must have 5+ years of experience as an instructor in firearms, defensive tactics, and use of force.
• RTIs must be current or former law enforcement officers and able to teach diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Train Federal Flight Deck Officers in weapons and self-defense across classrooms, simulators and ranges.
• Maintain training records and evaluate participant progress and program effectiveness.
• Coordinate instruction events, schedule classes, reserve classrooms and prepare workstations.
• Provide guidance to less experienced instructors and ensure compliance with SOPs.
