Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a part-time Recurrent Training Instructor (RTI) responsible for training Federal Flight Deck Officers in self-defense tactics and use of weapons. The position entails conducting training sessions, evaluating their effectiveness, and providing guidance to less experienced instructors.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of related experience and must have completed a recognized federal firearms instructor training program. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience as an instructor in firearms and defensive tactics.
• Ability to adhere to program policies and SOPs.
• Proficiency with automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions and evaluate effectiveness.
• Coordinate logistics for instruction events.
• Maintain records of training activities and participant progress.
• Update course documentation and provide guidance to less experienced instructors.
