Job summary

United Defense Tactical is seeking a skilled Firearms Instructor to join our team. You will deliver firearms training using a threat-based simulator, cover safety, handling, and shooting techniques for individuals and groups, and maintain a safe range environment.

The role requires 3+ years as an instructor or in law enforcement/military, strong communication, and a commitment to safety. Training may occur in outdoor and indoor environments with real-world scenario-based practice.

Qualifications

Learn and adhere to UDT's extensive curriculum.
3+ years as firearms instructor or law enforcement or military.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong firearm safety knowledge and handling protocols.
Familiar with a variety of firearms and their operation.
Comfortable working in an outdoor range environment.
Possess necessary certifications and licenses for instructing.
Outgoing and engaging with members.

Responsibilities

Instruct members using UDT's threat-based reality simulator.
Teach force on force and self-defense training courses.
Conduct firearms training sessions for individuals and groups, including basic safety, handling, and shooting techniques.
Teach proper firearm safety rules and protocols to ensure all participants are aware of the potential hazards.
Maintain training equipment and facility.
Monitor and maintain a safe and secure range environment during training sessions.
Evaluate participants' performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
Stay current with industry developments, new equipment, and training techniques to ensure that training sessions are up-to-date and effective.
