Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty for the Fire Science program to join a pool for part-time, as-needed teaching assignments in Public Service Education.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, assisting and evaluating student skills, maintaining lab discipline, and performing light maintenance. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of Fire Science and, ideally, teaching experience. Open to future scheduling and located in Texas; must reside in-state.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the Fire Science field.
• Experience in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment used for student skills development.
• Assist students with skills development.
• Evaluate students' skills performance and report to Lead Instructor.
• Maintain discipline during lab sessions/report misbehavior.
• Clean equipment as needed and replace in proper location.
• Perform minor maintenance/repairs to equipment and replace in proper location.
• Replace disposable supplies used in lab sessions.
