Job summary

East Hanover Fire Prevention Bureau is seeking applicants for the position of Part-time Fire Inspector. Pay is by the hour with a flexible schedule of at least 16 hours per week, excluding weekends unless directed.

A preference will be given to a NJ-DFS Fire Inspector as per NJAC 5:71-4. If unlicensed, the candidate must obtain the NJ-DFS Fire Inspector License within one year of hire and hold a valid NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• NJ driver’s license required.
• If a non-licensed applicant is hired, must obtain NJ-DFS Fire Inspector License within one year of hire.
• Preference will be given to a NJ-DFS Fire Inspector as per NJAC 5:71-4.
