First National Bank in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a part-time Financial Services Specialist to join our Retail branch team. This role supports customers through teller transactions, opening accounts, and cross-selling bank products.

The ideal candidate has teller experience, strong cash handling, and excellent communication. Working about 25 hours per week, you will balance cash drawers, serve customers, and help maintain our high standard of service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Prior teller experience and basic knowledge of banking regulations preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window and process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash verification with accuracy.
• Open new accounts, CDs, and other products; ensure proper paperwork and data entry.
• Address customer questions and concerns; escalate to supervisor when needed.
• Perform daily branch tasks such as processing night deposits, balancing ATM, and opening/closing duties.
• Provide services like Cashier's Checks, Travel Cards, and Gift Cards; refer to other departments as appropriate.
