First National Bank in South Boston, VA is seeking a part-time Financial Services Specialist to join our Retail branch team. This role focuses on delivering extraordinary customer experience and handling a variety of teller duties.

The position is approximately 25 hours per week, requiring strong cash handling and verbal communication skills; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Prior Teller experience and basic knowledge of relevant banking regulations preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• An organized, detail-oriented, problem solver who learns quickly with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a teller window serving customers with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash verification.
• Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other bank products; provide information and complete paperwork.
• Handle customer questions and determine when supervisor input is needed.
• Perform daily branch duties including night deposits, ATM servicing, and opening/closing.
• Provide additional services (Cashier's Checks, Travel Cards, Gift Cards) and cross-sell products as appropriate.
• Follow management directions and comply with bank policies and procedures.
