Junior Achievement of Southern California seeks a Part-time JA Finance Park Facilitator to host daily simulations for middle and high school students, teaching budgeting and financial planning at the LA facility near Griffith Park.

You will support volunteers, manage the day’s schedule, and ensure a positive, engaging learning experience for students and teachers. This role emphasizes customer service and program fidelity in a dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with and enjoyment of working with middle and high school students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain procedures, teach others, and guide conversations.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking, engaging audiences up to 120 people.
• People skills to interact with students, teachers, volunteers and coworkers.
• Organizational skills to manage time and ensure smooth operation of the simulation.
• Comfort with technology such as tablets and online learning platforms.

Responsabilités

• Set up the learning center on days with student visits and organize materials.
• Greet and check in volunteers; train and support them daily.
• Provide excellent customer service to our volunteer base.
• Emcee and manage the student experience, guiding safety and logistics with teachers and chaperones.
• Troubleshoot technology problems for students or volunteers.
• Lead volunteer debrief at the end of the session and reset the learning center.
