Job summary

The Village of Orland Park is seeking responsible, enthusiastic field crew members for the evening and weekend shifts in the Athletics Division of the Recreation department. You will care for Humphrey and Centennial fields, working outdoors to maintain turf, install sod, mow, and prepare play areas.

This part-time role runs March through November, up to 29 hours weekly, with availability required seven days a week. Illinois Driver’s License is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Driver’s License required.
• 2–4 years of athletic grounds management experience preferred.
• Part-time position with evenings and weekends, March–November.
• up to 29 hours per week; must be available 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fields operations at Humphrey and Centennial fields and general Recreation and Parks facilities.
• Perform turf restoration and maintenance, sod installation, mowing and treatment.
• Lay out athletic fields and play areas; act as lead driver for vehicles/trailers as assigned.
