Job summary

MSU Denver is seeking a Part-Time Early Family Literacy Program Lead ECE Teacher (PM flexible) to supervise a mixed-age preschool group and support GED adult education evenings. You will collaborate with co-teachers and the EFL team to implement activities aligned with TS Gold/Creative Curriculum and Colorado standards.

The role requires cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed practice, with travel across Commerce City, Westminster, and Denver.

Qualifications

• ECE Lead qualification requirements as listed: ECE 101 & ECE 103 or Pyramid Plus; CDA certification; Pyramid Plus & EQIT training; 3,185 hours working with 4+ children under age 8.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities for mixed-age children (1–7 years, school age occasionally).
• Scaffold activities developmentally; PM 4:30–8:00 pm for GED adult education.
• Maintain daily attendance records and organize classroom materials.
• Build strong relationships with families, including PACT and family conferences several times yearly.
• Travel between Commerce City, Westminster, and Denver as needed.
• Attend professional development workshops; know Colorado licensing rules.
• Update and use TS Gold and ASQ questionnaires for assessment.
