Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for the Family Literacy Program to supervise and guide a mixed-age group of children (1–7 years) with evening care for GED Adult education courses. This role emphasizes trauma-informed practices, cultural responsiveness, and collaboration with EFL team to align with TS Gold/Creative Curriculum and Colorado standards.

Competenze

• ECE 101 & ECE 103 or Pyramid Plus required
• CDA Certification required
• Pyramid Plus & EQIT training with 3185 hours with 4+ children under age 8
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/Dari/Pashto/Farsi...)
• Cultural awareness and culturally responsive teaching

Mansioni

• Plan and implement activities for mixed-age group of 1–7 year olds, scaffolding as developmentally appropriate
• Supervise 1–15 children in a positive environment while considering multilingual needs
• Support after-school/Evening PM coverage 4:30–8:00 pm for GED Adult education courses
• Maintain classroom materials, attendance records, and organization
• Engage families through conferences (twice/three times per year) and strong relationships
