Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks an energetic early childhood educator to direct and supervise a mixed-age group of children (1–7 years) in the Family Literacy Program. You will collaborate with co-teachers and the EFL team to implement the curriculum, align with TS Gold/Creative Curriculum, and meet Colorado standards.

The role requires trauma-informed, culturally responsive teaching, strong behavior management, and dedication to family engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with trauma-informed care and responsive practices for diverse families.
• Ability to scaffold lessons for mixed-age groups (1–7 years); evening care for GED programs.
• Familiarity with Colorado licensing rules and safety protocols.
• Experience organizing materials, keeping attendance, and family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities for mixed-age children (1–7 years).
• Supervise 1–15 children with positive behavior management.
• Support PM 4:30–8:00 pm care for GED Adult education courses.
• Maintain daily attendance records and organize classroom materials.
