Job summary

Action for Children in Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Engagement Specialist (20 hours weekly) to support the Central Intake program for entry into Help Me Grow and other home visiting programs. You will work with families to identify resources and assist them in accessing those services.

The role emphasizes engaging diverse families, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with staff to connect families with community resources.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong knowledge of child socio-emotional development.
• Experience working with economically challenged families is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology and record-keeping for program reporting.
• Valid driver's license and transportation access.

Responsibilities

• Process calls to engage families in home visiting programs and determine eligibility.
• Enter data live into Central Coordination databases with accuracy.
• Answer agency and departmental lines with a positive attitude.
• Provide information to callers and refer to resources as needed.
• Follow up with referral sources and maintain records.
• Assist parents in accessing community resources and attending meetings.
• Develop reports using the database as needed.
