Job summary

Firelands Health in Bellevue, OH is seeking a registered nurse for the Family Birthing Center to join our on-site, part-time team. The shift runs 7a-7p with alternating every 3rd weekend, offering work-life balance and opportunities to grow within a community-focused hospital.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians to ensure quality care and safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• NRP and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Fetal Monitoring and Stable course required within 1 year.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrates service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
