Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks an Administrative Assistant of Faith Formation to support the Director of Faith Formation and Youth Ministers in administering the parish catechetical program. This position provides leadership to nurture adult spirituality, Christian living, ministry, and outreach for the parish community.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Strong organization, communication with families/volunteers, and bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Must be a Catholic in good standing.
• Ability to work well with youth, parents, adults and volunteers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written preferred.
• 1–2 years in Youth Ministry or Faith Formation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines in archdiocesan policy for minors.
• Maintain K–12 Religious Education rosters and binders.
• Update attendance records weekly in parish software.
• Assist with Sacrament preparation and events planning.
• Coordinate letters to parents and translate into Spanish.
• Support Family Catechesis materials and Christmas pageant planning.
• Oversee St. Mary’s High School youth group and Edge programs.
• Monitor VIRTUS training for volunteers and employees.
• Attend parish staff meetings and other required duties.
