San Jacinto is seeking part-time faculty to teach Vocational Nursing at the North campus. Instructors will deliver nursing coursework and may teach evening or weekend classes as needed, with on-site responsibilities as required by the course.

Employment is on an as-needed basis, with no guarantee of regular full-time employment; salary is based on the current board-approved schedule and applicable AH grade. Applications reviewed as openings arise.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• At least three (3) years direct or related work experience in nursing required exclusive of teaching.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• At least three (3) years direct or related work experience in nursing required exclusive of teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Previous teaching in an L.V.N. program.

Salary Grade: AH

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
