Depending on the program and the modality, an adjunct may be required to teach a course entirely in-person, fully online, or as a hybrid in-person/online course. The chosen modality will be specified in the course contract. Each course an adjunct teaches is a 3-unit, 8-week contract position, with all units counted towards teaching.

Adjuncts may also be contracted separately to provide SBM administrative and program service, growth, and development roles, including committee work, program development, professional program development, professional networking, recruitment, promotion, and student mentoring. These functions are not part of the normal 3-unit course workload expectation.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the area in which you are contracted to teach. (Demonstrated by a current resume plus one or more letters of recommendation from professional contact(s).

Other qualifications (highly desirable):

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
