Part‑Time Faculty – Paralegal Department (Cascade Campus)

Portland Community College is accepting applications for a Part‑time Faculty Interest Pool in the Paralegal Department at the Cascade Campus. Applicants will be considered for substitute assignments and full‑term class assignments as needed throughout the academic year.

Instructor Qualifications

• JD or PhD in law and at least two years of work experience in law or a related field.
• BA or BS, with at least four years of work experience in law or a related field.
• For courses PL101, 102, 103, 107, 201, 202, 204: JD or PhD in law and at least two years of work experience in law or a related field.

Benefits and Compensation

Part‑time faculty employees may be eligible for certain benefits through PCC, including Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Compensation is based on the current salary schedule, with hourly rates determined by course type (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab). Newly hired faculty generally start at Step1 of the salary schedule.
