Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is building a pool of associate faculty for temporary, part‑time and/or on‑call assignments. Positions are hourly and may be immediate or as needed, with a cap of 67% of a full‑time annual load.

Compensation is based on hourly salary schedules and documentable experience. Initial placement may start at Step 1 pending evaluation; paid for assigned classes over the duration of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and two years full‑time (or part‑time equivalent) of occupational directly related to subject area.
• Associate's Degree and six years full‑time (or part‑time equivalent) of related occupational experience.
• Possession of a California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential or Life/standard equivalent.
• Equivalency documentation accepted for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid and/or off‑campus assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services to students.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
• Associate faculty focus on instruction; may be asked to perform other duties for additional compensation.
