Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness is seeking a Facility Cook in Concord, CA to provide meals for clients and live-in staff while maintaining kitchen compliance with our policies and governing regulations.

You will prepare balanced, nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines, assist with weekly menu planning within budget, keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, and ensure proper food storage and temperatures. CPR/First Aid certification obtained upon hire is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs and restrictions.
• Must have basic computer skills including ability to review emails.
• California Food Handler’s Card.
• CPR/First Aid training (obtained upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepares balanced, nutritious meals for clients in accordance with dietary guidelines.
• Collaborates with the team to help create weekly menus within budget.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen following safety protocols.
• Monitors kitchen supplies and equipment, supporting ordering to minimize waste.
• Ensures proper food storage and temperatures and interacts professionally with clients and staff.
• Follows food handler regulations and safety procedures.
