Job summary

The Sunray Companies is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance repairs, deep cleaning, inventory, and move-in/move-out tasks. This role requires a flexible schedule week-to-week, including some late nights and weekends, with travel in the Greater Jackson, Mississippi area.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous experience in building or similar maintenance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to use and be on a ladder in excess of 8 feet.
• Proficient in use of general maintenance equipment including hand tools, power tools, ladders, paint equipment, and similar.
• Time management skills
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Team player mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance repair tasks correctly, safely and by due date.
• Complete all assigned maintenance service requests.
• Deep carpet and tile cleaning on a quarterly basis as assigned.
• Quarterly maintenance inspections as assigned.
• Flipping, moving furniture, and deep cleaning of tenant spaces for move-out/move-in.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of physical condition of specific local properties as part of support staff.
• Inventory and organization of warehouse.
• Assist with management of online maintenance system.
• Experience with replacing flooring, sheetrock, full painting, and similar is a plus.
• Special projects or duties as assigned
