Job summary

The Sunray Companies, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, repairs, deep cleaning, and related duties across our Mississippi properties. The role requires a flexible week-to-week schedule including some late nights and weekends, with travel within the Greater Jackson area.

You will use hand and power tools, ladders, and painting equipment, complete service requests, and assist with inventory and the online maintenance system.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous experience in building or similar maintenance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to use a ladder in excess of 8 feet.
• Proficient in use of general maintenance equipment including hand tools, power tools, ladders, paint equipment.
• Ability to stand for a long period of time.
• Time management skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance repair tasks correctly, safely and by due date across facilities.
• Complete all assigned maintenance service requests.
• Deep carpet and tile cleaning on a quarterly basis.
• Quarterly maintenance inspections.
• Flipping, moving furniture, and deep cleaning of tenant spaces for move-in/out.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of properties.
• Inventory and organization of warehouse; manage online maintenance system.
• Experience with replacing flooring, sheetrock, full painting is a plus.
• Special projects or duties as assigned.

Job description

The Sunray Companies is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician for general maintenance repair, deep cleaning, inventory, move-in/move-out, and similar responsibilities. This is a part-time position and requires a flexible schedule week-to-week including some late nights and weekends. The company provides any needed supplies and tools for the position including hand, power and specialty tools, maintenance and cleaning supplies, dollies, ladders, etc. Travel is required in Greater Jackson, Mississippi area.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance repair tasks correctly, safely and by due date. General maintenance may include but is not limited to repair of fixtures or outlets, adjusting of sensors and lighting, unclogging drains, repairing or replacing faucets or other minor plumbing components, repairing or replacing locks, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing filters, sheetrock repair, touch-up painting, install shelving and doors, simple carpentry or masonry repairs, assembly as needed, maintenance troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and similar tasks
• Complete all assigned maintenance service requests
• Deep carpet and tile cleaning on a quarterly basis as assigned
• Quarterly maintenance inspections as assigned
• Flipping, moving furniture, and deep cleaning of tenant spaces for move-out/move-in
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of physical condition of specific local properties as part of support staff
• Inventory and organization of warehouse
• Assist with management of online maintenance system
• Experience with replacing flooring, sheetrock, full painting, and similar is a plus
• Special projects or duties as assigned

Candidates Must Also Have

• At least 2 years of previous experience in building or similar maintenance
