Job summary

Feeding San Diego is seeking a Facilities Team Member to maintain the integrity of its buildings, ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Under the Facilities Manager, you will perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks across warehouses and offices.

This part-time on-site role requires experience in warehouse operations, janitorial tasks, and basic maintenance. You will follow schedules, respond to requests, and help manage supplies, safety hazards, and equipment like pallet jacks and

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Experience performing janitorial and other general cleaning tasks.
• Experience performing general maintenance tasks.
• Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a forklift, MEWP (mobile elevated work platform) and electric pallet jack certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic construction and maintenance tasks in the warehouses and office areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks based on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule.
• Respond to requests from employees to perform maintenance tasks.
• Travels to various stores to buy necessary supplies for facility tasks.
• Identifies potential safety hazards and create work orders.
• Recycling and waste duties, when needed.
• Use a forklift/pallet jack to organize yard, as needed.
• Run cardboard baler and sort pallets on an as-needed basis.
• Use a mobile elevated work platform to clean and maintain areas that are elevated (e.g., racking, lights).
• Operations cross-departmental work as needed.
• Other duties as needed.
