Job summary

Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11 seeks a Part-Time Facilities, Equipment and Maintenance Worker (anticipated) to maintain facilities, materials and equipment and create a regular cleaning/maintenance schedule.

Responsibilities include assembling or repairing furniture, minor repairs, light custodial work, painting, moving furniture, coordinating with outside agencies on projects, and supervising volunteers. Requires HS diploma, valid PA driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school/GED diploma required.
• Experience in landscaping, building maintenance/construction/renovation, painting and carpentry; youth experience preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or repair furniture, toys, or equipment as needed.
• Assist in minor repairs in classrooms, satellite offices, and main office.
• Purchase necessary items to fix or repair equipment when approved.
• Perform light custodial tasks such as vacuuming and carpet cleaning.
• Complete indoor/outdoor painting as needed.
• Move classroom furniture and materials between sites.
• Coordinate building operations with outside agencies on projects.
• Pack/unpack classroom materials as needed.
• Oversee volunteers and maintain site organization.
• Seasonal yard work: mulching, line painting, shoveling and salting.
