Job summary

Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA is seeking a part-time Facilities Maintenance Tech to support routine upkeep, grounds care, and light custodial tasks. The role runs for 25 hours per week and involves basic repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

Applicants should have a WA driver’s license, good communication, and the ability to follow instructions. Work may be team-based or independent, with a background check required.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State driver license and ability to be insured.
• Good communication skills.
• Follow instructions and work in a team or independently.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Requires successful background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager with maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Patch walls and doors, paint walls and trim, replace fixtures and partitions; repair ceiling/floor tiles.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify needs before breakdowns occur.
• Communicate with Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks.
• Assist with lawn care, landscaping, and outside premises upkeep.
• Perform janitorial duties as needed.
