Job summary

Blue Mountain Community College is seeking a part-time Maintenance/Custodian/Grounds Helper in Pendleton to maintain cleanliness, perform basic maintenance, and assist with grounds care. The role may involve electrical work where licensed, and requires reliability and the ability to work with minimal supervision in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include classroom and restroom cleaning, trash removal, and basic repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years custodial, maintenance or grounds-keeping experience.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, mop, wipe surfaces and clean restrooms and classrooms.
• Perform light maintenance and basic repairs on equipment and fixtures.
• Assist with lawn care and irrigation maintenance as needed.
• Change ballasts, switches or lighting if licensed to do so.
• Ensure safe cleaning practices and report supply needs.
