Job summary

Operation Kindness Humane Society seeks a dedicated Part-Time Facilities Custodian to keep offices, restrooms, and common areas clean and sanitary. The role supports infection-prevention practices and maintains supplies and equipment across our facilities, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, visitors, and animals.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of cleaning experience, and the ability to meet the schedule Tue-Sat

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in commercial cleaning, custodial services, housekeeping, or facility maintenance preferred.
• Experience in an animal care, healthcare, or other high-traffic environment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods and safety procedures, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning of offices, restrooms, break rooms, lobbies and other spaces across facilities.
• Disinfect frequently touched areas and maintain cleanliness according to schedules.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness, damage, and safety; report issues to Facilities team.
• Maintain cleaning checklists and assist with special cleaning needs and events.
