Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dependable Part-Time Janitor to maintain campus cleanliness and safety across all facility areas. This role performs routine cleaning, supplies management, and some lawn work, with independent work style emphasized.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window washing, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, and basic chemical handling. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and preferred office cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Office building cleaning experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweeping and mopping non-carpeted areas
• Washing windows
• Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen as needed
• Daily cleaning of toilets, urinals, sinks and porcelain fixtures
• Mopping staff bathrooms on the shelter side of the building
• Mopping kitchen floor on both sides of the building
• Emptying trash receptacles daily
• Lawn maintenance and weeding
• Pouring bleach down drains during spring through fall
• Maintain inventory of chemical supplies and notify Office Manager when restocking is needed
• Keep janitorial closets clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned
