Job summary

The Salvation Army in the United States is seeking a Part-time Facilities Support Staff and Housekeeping member to perform cleaning, light maintenance, and safety tasks across properties, buildings, and grounds.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, assist with minor repairs, help with snow removal, lawn care, setup for meetings, and support special projects as needed, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance or construction field.
• Certifications: Driver’s license; First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and strip and wax floor and/or carpet.
• Clean all hallways, stairs, restrooms and office spaces or other appropriate areas.
• Empty trash.
• Provide routine outside maintenance; clean snow and debris from sidewalk; mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers.
• Follow schedule for cleaning windows, furniture, floor polishing, dusting, etc.
• Set up furniture for meetings as required.
• Provide support to special projects and events.
• Other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
