Job summary

Leidos invites applications for a part-time Training Instructor supporting FAA API and FAA Academy initiatives. The role focuses on developing and updating course materials, delivering English for Air Traffic Controllers, and coordinating remote training for international participants.

Strong training development, written communication, and public-trust eligibility are required. Ideal candidates have a BS or higher with extensive relevant experience, or a Master’s with fewer years.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Recent experience conducting technical training or teaching certification.
• Technical expertise utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to support business and strategic planning.
• Experience with training development and delivery.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security clearance.
• Preferred FAA contracting experience.
• Certificate and experience teaching English as a second language.
• Pilot and/or Air Traffic Control experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requirements and plan schedules and resources.
• Configure and manage virtual training technology for remote delivery.
• Communicate with project teams on solution design and domain knowledge.
• Produce post-course delivery notes with observations and improvements.
• Support project tracking and analysis.
• Provide technical support and SME for FAA courses/projects as needed.
