Job summary

Aims Community College seeks an experienced aviation instructor to support lead air traffic control instructors in lab-based courses, including non-radar and radar simulations. You will participate in professional development, design course materials to industry standards, and collaborate on governance initiatives.

The role requires eight years of FAA ATC experience, instructional background, and an FAA-implemented Certified Professional Controller certificate.

Qualifications

Eight (8) years of experience in an FAA Air Traffic Control facility such as Tower, Center, or TRACON.
ATC instructional and/or supervisory experience.
Possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Provide academic instruction to students as assigned.
Ensure compliance with FAA procedures per AT-CTI requirements.
Assist with development of new courses and revise existing courses as required.
Represent the aviation department at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department’s Executive Director or Academic Dean.
