Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking an Expert Witness Research Analyst to conduct Testimonial History and Party History research using court records and legal research tools. You will manage search requests, communicate with customers, and collaborate with the team to meet quality targets.

The role requires a JD or paralegal certification, strong research skills, and availability for 20 hours per week with a fixed schedule. Experience with Lexis tools and AI-enabled workflows is preferred.

Qualifications

• JD, paralegal certification, or equivalent education demonstrates legal research capability.
• Working knowledge of US court system and legal terminology.
• Strong research, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Availability for 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a fixed schedule.
• Experience with Lexis Advance or Lexis+ is advantageous and willingness to learn new tools.
• Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, internet research, and basic PC troubleshooting.
• Ability to assess AI-generated results for accuracy and relevance.
• Understanding of customer service and Net Promoter Score considerations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research using internal and external resources.
• Manage the life cycle of Expert Witness Search requests.
• Deliver clear, concise, and timely communication to customers.
• Apply established standards to order management.
• Represent customer needs by reporting feedback and supporting issue resolution.
• Complete Testimonial History and Party History search orders accurately and on time.
• Cross-train and support other research queues as needed.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve research efficiency and quality while validating results.
