Job summary

The City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department seeks a creative, organized Contract/Part-Time Special Events/Projects Program Assistant to support planning and delivery of city-wide events. You will coordinate logistics, guide part-time staff and volunteers, and help shape memorable community experiences.

You’ll assist with partnerships, marketing, sponsorships, and producing the Activity Guide while applying marketing and design tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic keyboarding skills.
• Experience in events or community programs preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and delivering major and minor city-wide events and projects.
• Coordinate logistics and supervise part-time staff and volunteers.
• Support marketing, sponsorships, and department outreach efforts.
• Lead production of the Parks & Recreation Activity Guide with the designer.
