Job summary

For Garden’s Sake is seeking events staff to help bring people together and turn our community garden center’s events into unforgettable experiences. We host weddings, classes, live music, and seasonal markets at the historic O’Kelly Chapel and in our Garden Center venues.

This part-time, year-round role offers irregular hours based on the events calendar, with a mix of afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Pay starts at $16 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event support, hospitality, and/or customer service is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Flexible schedule for afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist with event preparation and setup, including arranging tables, chairs, and signage
• Manage registration, check-in, and guest guidance during events
• Provide bar service for beverages (beer/wine; must be 18+) and maintain venue cleanliness
• Support speakers, vendors, and performers with logistical needs
• Break down after events and help with inventory and post-event cleanup
