Job summary

Jewish Museum of Maryland is seeking a part-time Events Coordinator to plan and execute public programs that celebrate Jewish culture in Baltimore. You will work under the Director of Public Programs and support logistics from planning through delivery, ensuring each program is welcoming and mission-aligned.

Ideal candidates are organized, reliable, and comfortable in both behind-the-scenes and public-facing roles.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in cultural programming or live event coordination.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including Sundays.
Familiarity with Zoom and event management software (Altru/Blackbaud a plus).
Ability to foster inclusive, diverse audiences and communities.
Adaptable in a fast-paced, public-facing setting.

Responsibilities

Support planning, development, and evaluation of programs aligned with goals and budgets.
Review program proposals with input on format and feasibility.
Research, book speakers/partners/vendors, and provide logistical support.
Coordinate travel and hospitality for visiting presenters.
Draft marketing copy for programs with internal/external teams.
Set up event listings in Altru, Facebook, Zoom, and other platforms.
Develop run-of-show documents, layouts, and staffing plans.
Manage setup/breakdown, catering, and facilities coordination.
Emcee programs as needed and be a point of contact on-site and online.
Submit and track invoices and program-related payments.
