Job summary

Paikka in Minnesota is seeking Facilities Support staff to help care for and clean the venue between events. This part-time seasonal role requires weekend availability and comfortable physical work. You will clean floors and surfaces, strike and set up furniture, install cafe lighting, perform plant care, and handle small maintenance tasks.

Training begins mid-October with a November start date. Expect to work weekends, assist with event setup, and be paid at an hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Timely and reliable with strong time management.
• Able to climb ladders when needed.
• Basic handy-person skills for small repairs.
• Able to lift 50–60 lbs repeatedly.
• Detail-oriented and careful in task execution.
• Familiar with Google Workspace tools.
• Plant knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean venue including floors, surfaces, kitchen, offices, bar equipment and courtyard
• Strike tables, chairs and other furniture after events (AM or PM, depending on time of event)
• Set furniture and layout for upcoming events
• Install and un-install cafe lighting as needed
• Perform weekly plant maintenance, indoors and outdoors
• Complete special projects like window washing, site/furniture maintenance, painting, repairs etc.
• Attend meetings and trainings as needed with PAIKKA staff and leadership
