Job summary

Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood seeks a part-time Event Support Technician to provide event and facility support across its seven-county service region, including Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda campuses. The Event Support Technician will assist with the preparation and support of events held in College rental facilities and other designated spaces.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down event spaces, including moving and arranging

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn event-support technology.
• Ability to read and follow event layout diagrams and arrange spaces accordingly.
• Capability to stand/walk for long periods and perform setup/breakdown tasks.
• Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, and related equipment.
• Work independently and collaboratively with professional customer service.
• Remain flexible for days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces, including tables and chairs.
• Provide onsite support during events and respond to facility needs.
• Maintain event spaces per provided specifications.
• Perform other duties related to events and operations as needed.
