Job summary

Piedmont Technical College is seeking an Event Support Technician for part-time work across its seven-county service region, including Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda campuses. Responsibilities include preparing and supporting events held in college rental facilities and other spaces.

The role requires a flexible schedule, with days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, incl. PowerPoint, with ability to learn event tech.
• Ability to read event layout diagrams and set up spaces per specs.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, and related items.
• Provide onsite support during events and assist with customer and facility needs.
• Help ensure event spaces are maintained and prepared according to expectations.
• Follow event specifications and layout diagrams for accurate setup.
• Support other related duties as needed based on event and operational needs.
