BEST Crowd Management in Columbus, OH seeks an Event Security Officer to support CAPA Theatres with crowd management and safety during events. This part-time position requires a professional appearance, vigilance, and teamwork.

You will patrol, monitor access, perform screenings, respond to incidents, and coordinate with local authorities. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma, pass a background check, and be able to work flexible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous event security, law enforcement, or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Valid security license or willingness to obtain one (where required).
• Background check and drug screening will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence per client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter incidents and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks and screenings.
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, including medical.
• Coordinate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide excellent customer service and directions to attendees.
• Report security incidents to supervisors and authorities as needed.
• Document all activities and observations for leadership review.
• Adhere to company policies and security guidelines.
